Global Internship

During my summer of 2017, I had the opportunity to have worked abroad in a ship management company in Cyprus. Working at the headquarters of SMT Shipping, gave me the opportunity to learn the logistics of transporting commodities between ports. I oversaw maritime logistics on a global level and gave me insight on the importance for the Operations and Accounting departments to work closely to ensure a flawless transaction. 

In summer of 2019, I worked with the same ship management company at their office in Connecticut where I worked in the sales operations department analyzing market trends and orders, in order to find route effective voyages for the company's vessel fleets. I worked closely with captains, charterers, freight traders, and port agents in order to ensure a flawless voyage.

SMT Shipping is known for their expertise in handling maritime commodities and markets globally and working as an intern allowed me to learn how to handle the maritime logistics on a global level.
